2017 Cadillac Escalade EXT: Rumors, Specs and Price

The famous model Cadillac Escalade EXT was stopped in 2013 by the manufacturer but it remained in the hearts of drivers and buyers because of its outstanding performance and features. This truck was a complete model of technology. According to statistic this pickup truck was the most popular vehicle in Texas, so it’s quite clear why the producer plans to introduce the 2017 Cadillac Escalade EXT.

In 2002, this model was transformed and introduced as a luxury trucking option. It gained popularity for its sports utility features. Two generations of this model was produced by the GM. First was launched in 2007 while second generation was introduced in 2013 and production was stopped. This model was available with its three trim levels including Base, Luxury and Premium.

The power setup up to last model was very efficient because of a 6.2 liters fuel capacity V-8 engine. The engine was able to produce 403 horsepower and 417 lb ft torque. This power setup was equipped with a highly efficient 6-speed automatic transmission. GM introduced the previous models with All Wheel Drive opportunity. There was a specialized Mid-gate System allowing the users to have a bigger cargo space.

The luxury facilities were added to make it more impressive. GM included the high power 10 speakers, base sound system, navigation, rearview camera, adaptive suspension and rear seat entertainment facility. Safety was given more attention by adding specialized 22 inch wheels for great road stability. GM also engaged satellite radio, blind spot system, adaptive dampers, USB, Bluetooth and Smartphone connectivity.

GM included a powerful engine, entertainment system and safety setup to make both trim levels of Cadillac Escalade EXT marvelous for all types of driving systems. Now there are rumors that GM is updating this model for the year 2017.   Both generations were impressive competitors of Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Lincoln Continental and Chevy Colorado.

As a matter of fact, the company has decided to go for a re-launch as the 2017 Cadillac Escalade EXT. This is still a rumor circulating in the industry but we are hopeful to see the product as soon as possible. It has been observed that GM stopped the production of Escalade EXT when this model was considered a peak trucking option because of outstanding design, platform, body structure and great combination of less heavy materials such as aluminum, steel and carbon. The upcoming 2017 model is expected to cover the gaps it received within last 4 years.

Exterior designers are looking forward to improve the exterior features. The basic aim of GM is to modify the truck according to the recent changes. Definitely, it needs enormous changes and improvements so the company has planned to restructure the front and rear side, while the most reliable news related to improvement after rear and front modification is the insertion of LED lights. Specialized LED bulbs have been created for the upcoming model. GM is also interested to make a wider Air Intake facility this time. The truck will get other outstanding features such as automatic wipers, keyless ignition, lift gate (hands-free), dual exhaust system, antenna and a parking noticing mechanism. All these changes are expected in the 2017 Cadillac Escalade EXT. The company is also planning to improve the wheel structure by adding wider tires (20 inches). This will be equipped with an improved wheelbase.

Interior is expected to get 4G LTE, 16 speakers, GPS system, Wi-Fi and navigation. Power steering will contain multiple buttons for the control options. The passengers will find comfortable seating adjustments with air conditioning system, rearview camera, LCD Touch screen and modern connectivity facilities.

Engine Specs and Price

A new engine of the 2017 Cadillac Escalade EXT will be updated according to latest trends. GM is interested to launch an EcoTech version, which is actually a 6.2-liter V-8 engine. This option will give 420 hp and 460 lb ft torque. This will be 8-speed automatic transmission setup with AWD and FWD. GM will improve the fuel consumption up to 17 %. The vehicle will offer 28 miles per gallon as an average.

The car manufacturer has not announced anything about the release date of the 2017 Cadillac Escalade EXT, but we expect to see it in markets in June 2017. The starting price of this model is estimated to be around $65,000.
