Ford is set to roll out its new 2017 Ford F-150 King Ranch. The model will be placed above the trim variants of XL, XLT, and Lariat. The pickup is expected to come at a price range of $50,000, which is a similar cost of rivals. The completely redesigned model made its debut just a couple of years before, and this 2017 model is likely to undergo a few modifications.
2017 Ford F-150 King Ranch: Performance
No change is expected, and the 2017 Ford F-150 King Ranch is set to retain its powertrains from its predecessors. The pickup is set to feature four engine options. The base version will come with a 3.5-liter V6 engine which is capable of producing a power output of 282 HP and a torque output of 283 lb-ft. A turbocharged version will also be available in the form of a 2.7-liter V6 engine with 325 HP power capacity and 375 lb-ft of torque capacity.
Higher-end versions of the 2017 F-150 King Ranch will have a 5.0-liter V8 engine. It will be capable of delivering a power of 385 HP and a torque of 387 lb-ft. A turbocharged version of the higher priced model will be a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 365 HP power capacity and 420 lb-ft of torque capacity.
All versions will be combined with a six-speed automatic transmission system. Towing capacity is expected to range from 7,600 pounds to 12,200 pounds. F-150 King Ranch will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph within 6.3 seconds while reaching a top speed of around 106 mph.
Expect its EPA rating to range around 14 mpg within city limits and 19 mpg on highways. However, Ford may come with improved figures for the new model.
Design Changes and Features
With no change in powertrain, expect 2017 Ford F-150 King Ranch to undergo a few modifications in its design. A few notable ones are listed below. The feature that sets 2017 King Ranch apart is Ford’s decision to design this trim with the Western-style theme, both on the interior and exterior. The vehicle will sport two wide silver bars on its front grille while its headlights are bold and enlarged.

Also, with this trim, Ford will provide its customers with optional off-road packages, chrome appearance package, trailer tow package and much more.
Although marketed as a medium-duty truck, the 2017 Ford F-150 King Ranch will be equipped with all the expected technical features for driver safety. It will come with a blind spot monitoring system and adaptive cruise control to avoid side collision and lane departure. Its SOS post-crash system will automatically notify the appropriate local authorities in case of a mishap. The vehicle will also have inflatable second-row seat belts, passive anti-theft systems, and a forward collision warning mechanism. Of course, the carmaker won;t skip the chance to add a parking assists features too.
