2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Sport

There are only a few models that can match up to the caliber and reputation of the Toyota Tundra. This truck has sold in record numbers since its inception in 1999 and won a number of coveted awards too. The 2019 Toyota Tundra receives a moderate revamp to cope with the rivals. Like all other trims, the TRD Pro Sport trim is getting a revamp as well. It is aimed at typical off-road centric users.

Design

The 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Sport has a macho and stylish look that will catch your attention instantly. It is being sold in some exciting exterior hues like midnight black pearl, magnetic gray, Barcelona red metallic and super white. It is available in Double cab and crew max setups. The honeycomb mesh style grille sets it apart from other trims in the lineup. The body-color mirrors, bumpers, bedside graphic and hood scoop also add to its visual appeal. The truck also gets 20-inch alloy sport wheels, LED Headlights.

2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro

The cabin of 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro looks absolutely stylish. It is quite spacious and focus is also on utility. The special treatment on design continues in form of floor mats and upholstery. Quite a number of storage cubicles and bins are there in its cabin and dashboard layout is elegant looking. You will like the large center-console storage too.

2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro – Engine

The 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro gets two engine choices. The smaller will be a 4.6-liter unit making 310 HP and the stronger is the 5.7-liter V-8 with 381 horses. 4WD is optional for both the engines. The six-speed automatic gearbox, however, is no match for the 8 and 10-speed units used in recent GM and Ford rivals. Ride quality is impressive but the cabin is not as quiet as the rivals from Ford and GM.

Spec

The safety features should be much like with the other trims. It gets Toyota Safety Sense included by default. So, safety feature list comprises of the pre-collision system, pedestrian detection, auto high beams, dynamic radar cruise control and lane departure alert. A multi-information display is there to let you have a glance at safety feature updates at any time. There are a number of airbags as well.

The Truck also gets a revamped version of Entune Audio infotainment setup. It is not slow or too hard to use but do not expect things to be as good as the GM IntelliLInk setup. The lack of a Wi-Fi hotspot feature may make some disheartened too.

Price and availability

The 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro will be available for sale by the end of this year. Its starting price is approx. $44,000.
